Pray Hard, Folks.

Hey friends! I have a special prayer request for you all. But first a story.

Last weekend we had a conference at the place we're living (Vision Nicaragua) for a bunch of the youth from the area. It was pretty cool, I met some awesome people, clapped/danced to a lot of songs that I had no idea of the words to, painted some nails and got my hair done. It was a lot of fun. 🙂
 
I was privileged to spend a good deal of time with one of the chaperones, Ana. She's 26, and she lives in Chichigalpa (really close to here) with her husband and one of her brothers. Let me tell you a little bit about her past. She was born in Costa Rica and got married to a man there and they had two sons. But her husband (now ex-husband) was extremely abusive to her, and they got divorced and she moved to Nicaragua. Now she is remarried to a man who she says is really incredible, but her kids still live with their dad in Costa Rica. She told me that he never beat their kids, only her, but we really don't know for sure if that is still true or anything. If nothing else there's probably at least some emotional abuse. Right now Ana is saving up so that she can go to Costa Rica and bring her kids back home, but the process is slow going. 

Please keep Ana in your prayers…She has had a tough past, but God has brought her through a lot and her relationship with Him seems to be pretty strong, from what I’ve seen of her beautiful heart. Hopefully I'll get to see her again soon and really talk some more with her, and pray some more with her, but for now we just have to keep her in our prayers. Please also pray for her two little boys. Pray for their health and their safety, and pray that they will be reunited with their mother soon. And please pray for her ex-husband. Pray that he would come to know our great Daddy in heaven, and that Daddy would show him what it means to be a man of God. Please pray that kids are safe, and that she'll be able to get the money quickly to go get her kids. 

 
Prayer is legit, friends. It is so powerful. Thanks for your constant prayers for my team, and now for Ana too!
